2012 was another great year for shooting music. I got to photograph shows and festivals in Las Vegas, Pennsylvania, and all over New York for Buzznet and my own music website, How We Are (run with photographer Andy Jimenez).

I continued documenting music fans and even did a photo series on punk fans with band tattoos.

It's hard to choose just one favorite performance or favorite image from a year when I shot thirty-five shows (yes, I just flipped through my calendar and counted). The Punk Rock Bowling and Music Festival in Nevada was a great experience and my third time shooting it. It's always fun to travel to see bands and check out a new city or state's music scene and venues.

This gallery has ten of my favorite shots from this year and some words on why I chose them. Hopefully 2013 will be full of more exciting shoots and new projects. Thank you for checking out my photos!
